Health funds
We're a preferred provider with:
- Medibank Members' Choice
- HCF More For Teeth
- nib First Choice
- Bupa Members First Platinum
- Smile.com.au
- CBHS Choice Network
- Teachers Health (TUH)
Not with one of these funds? You're still welcome. We treat members of every private fund and give you an itemised receipt to claim.
Claiming on the spot
Bring your health fund card. We claim through HICAPS before you leave, your fund pays its share straight away, and you pay only the gap.
Working out your gap
Get the item numbers. Copy them from the fee list above, or ask us for a written quote.
Ask your fund. Call them or use their app, and ask what you'll get back for each item.
Check your limits. Annual limits and waiting periods can change what you get back.
Kids and the CDBS
We bulk bill eligible children under the Child Dental Benefits Schedule, so there's no out-of-pocket cost for covered services. Eligible children can receive up to $1,158 in benefits for basic dental services over two consecutive calendar years (2026 and 2027).
- Your child is aged 0 to 17 for at least one day of the calendar year.
- You or your child receive an eligible government payment, such as Family Tax Benefit Part A, at least once in the calendar year.
- Your child is eligible for Medicare.
Eligibility is assessed each calendar year. If your child becomes eligible later in the year, it's backdated to 1 January.
What it covers
- Check-ups and cleaning
- X-rays
- Fissure sealing
- Fillings
- Root canal treatment
- Extractions
It doesn't cover orthodontic or cosmetic dental work, or dental care in a hospital. Some items have limits, so ask us before treatment starts.
Services Australia sends a letter if your child is eligible. You can also check in myGov (Medicare, then History and statements, then Child Dental Benefits Schedule), call Medicare on 132 011, or ask us and we'll check for you.
You can't claim the same service from the CDBS and your health fund.
Bring your child's Medicare card to each visit.
The cap is indexed each 1 January, and the amount depends on the year your child's two-year period starts. Unused benefits can't be carried past the two years.

Payment plans
Spread the cost of larger treatment with humm, Afterpay or Zip. Each is subject to the provider's approval, fees and terms, so read them before you apply. Ask us which suits the treatment you're planning.
Veterans
DVA White Card holders welcome.
We bill DVA directly for eligible treatment. [Confirm whether Gold Card holders are also seen]
Medicare
Medicare doesn't cover most dental care for adults at private clinics. The main exceptions are the CDBS for eligible children and some services for eligible veterans through DVA.

Questions about fees
Will I get a quote before treatment?
Yes. For anything beyond a check-up, we give you a written treatment plan with the item numbers and fees, so you can check with your fund before you decide.
How do I find out what my health fund will pay?
Give your fund the item numbers for your treatment. You can copy them from the fee list on this page. Your fund will tell you what you'll get back, which depends on your policy, your level of extras cover and any annual limits.
What does preferred provider mean?
Health funds have agreements with some dental practices. If your fund is one we're a preferred provider for, your gap may be smaller. How much you get back still depends on your policy, your level of extras cover and any annual limits.
How does claiming on the spot work?
Bring your health fund card. We claim through HICAPS at the front desk, your fund pays its share straight away, and you pay the gap. If you don't have your card, we'll give you an itemised receipt to claim later.
Why might my bill differ from the fees listed here?
Treatment is billed by item, so the total depends on what you need: how many surfaces a filling covers, how many canals a tooth has, or whether an extraction is surgical. We explain any difference before we start.
Do you bulk bill adults?
No. Medicare doesn't cover most dental care for adults at private clinics. We bulk bill eligible children under the Child Dental Benefits Schedule.
Can I use a payment plan for any treatment?
Payment plans through humm, Afterpay and Zip are subject to each provider's approval, fees and terms. Ask us which suits the treatment you're planning, and read the provider's terms before you apply.
